Call the Lowcountry OA Info Line for a recorded message with local contact numbers.

View Lowcountry OA Meetings or Find a Meeting by location.  Overeaters Anonymous offers a program of recovery from compulsive eating using theTwelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of OA. Worldwide meetings and other tools provide a fellowship of experience, strength and hope where members respect one another’s anonymity.

OA is not just about weight loss, weight gain or maintenance, or obesity or diets. It addresses physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. It is not a religious organization and does not promote any particular diet.

Hi there… I have been in recovery for an ED for about three years and notice I am starting to pick up old behaviors. While my official diagnosis is EDNOS, I have had cycles of restricting, purging, and binge eating. There are no EDA meetings in the Charleston area, I was wondering if I would be able to attend an OA as my struggle with food is related to my emotions and has morphed into different behaviors. I’m not super familiar with the OA program, but imagine the steps are similar to other step programs.

It’s very similar and everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively is welcome. Our meeting list is up to date. Please call anyone on the meeting lists for any information. My number is 843-729-9793
